Public Notice: Reports of Illegal Dumping

PUBLIC NOTICE: Illegal Dumping at Standoff Waste Transfer Station
Blood Tribe Public Works has reported an increase in illegal dumping at the Standoff Waste Transfer Station. We are asking all community members to help keep our facilities safe, clean, and environmentally responsible.
Permitted items (in designated areas only): Wood• Metal • Domestic household garbage
Not permitted:• Dumping outside designated areas• Commercial or contractor waste• Using reserve land for disposal or storage of waste
Additional Waste Transfer Options: Community members may also use the Cardston, Spring Coulee, and Hill Spring/Glenwood Waste Transfer Stations through our agreement with Chief Mountain Regional Solid Waste Authority. Hours vary throughout the week.

Illegal dumping is a violation of Blood Tribe By-Laws and Provincial and Federal laws and creates environmental and financial impacts on the Tribe.
