37-year-old female charged after trilogy of flight from police incidents

The Blood Tribe Police Service has charged a 37-year-old woman from the Blood Reserve after three incidents of criminal flight from police.
On February 27, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a member of the Blood Tribe Police Service conducted a traffic stop with three suspicious vehicles parked near the intersection of Highway 509 and Old Agency Road, on the Blood Indian Reserve #148, Alberta. The female driver of one of the vehicles, a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, immediately fled the scene. The officer did not pursue. On April 3, 2026, the vehicle was located unoccupied and towed by police.
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 5:14 p.m., a member of the Blood Tribe Police Service Public Safety K9 Unit was on patrol in Moses Lake, AB, and observed a black Dodge Journey driving with a license plate that had been reported stolen from Pincher Creek. A traffic stop was attempted in front of a residence in Cardston, however the female driver jumped a curb and fled the area, driving dangerously. Due to the safety risk to the public, and because the driver’s identity was known, the officer did not pursue.
On May 5, 2026, at approximately 3:59 p.m., the officer located the same Dodge Journey - which had since been spray-painted blue - stopped in front of a residence in Moses Lake. The license plate on the vehicle was determined to have been stolen from Lethbridge.
On May 8, 2026, officers of the Blood Tribe Police Service located the Dodge Journey outside of a residence near Radio Road on the Blood Reserve.
